AFP exhibits images of Bedouin life in UAE
A four-day exhibition of AFP photos capturing the life and traditions of Bedouins in the United Arab Emirates opened Wednesday, September 9, in Abu Dhabi.
Twenty enlarged photos have gone on display as part of the 13th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX), an annual event that attracts tens of thousands of visitors in a country that strongly adheres to desert traditions despite being one of the most urbanized countries in the region.
The display features images of endless desert dunes, camel caravans and falconry captured by AFP photographers, including some award-winning pictures shot by Karim Sahib from the Dubai bureau.
The exhibition was promoted in local press by Abu Dhabi’s authority of cultural events.
