AFP a partner of the Women’s Forum in Myanmar

AFP is taking part in the International Women’s Forum in Naypyidaw and Yangon, Myanmar on December 5 and 6 2014

The Women’s Forum Myanmar-ASEAN is a follow-up to the Women’s Forum Myanmar held last year.

This second edition features plenary sessions and roundtables which will look at such themes as sustainable development in ASEAN, the role of women in transitional societies and their role in ASEAN countries in 2015 and beyond.

As a conference partner, AFP will be represented by Myanmar news editor Kelly Macnamara who will take part in the session ‘Freedom of Expression and the Need for Transparency’ on December 6 at 16h00 alongside Dr Ma Thida, surgeon, author and chief editor of Pae Tin Than Journal, Nica Dumlao, program coordinator for Internet rights at the Foundation for Media Alternatives and Jacqueline de Guillenchmidt, lawyer at the Paris bar and former member of the French Constitutional Council.
