AFP to display Olympic games highlights in Hong Kong

During the London Olympic Games, AFP will be showing the best of its photo output at Hong Kong's Foreign Correspondants' Club (FCC).

AFP and the Foreign Correspondents’ Club will be highlighting the Agency’s photo output with a display of the 17 most beautiful pictures taken during the London Olympics, from 27 July to 12 August.

 

The best shots will be selected every day by a panel of AFP photo editors and will be displayed as the Games move on. The 17 photographs exhibited will be chosen from among 2,000 produced every day during the Games, and will be distributed to more than 1,000 daily newspapers, magazines, internet sites, news agencies, etc.

 

More than 180 journalists, including 70 photographers equipped with the new Nikon reflex SLR D4, will be in London to bring the world the Olympic Games in real time in texts, photos, videos and graphics. AFP will also display a slide show of 120 iconic photos of previous Games on a special monitor. The Agency and the Foreign Correspondents’ Club will host a reception on 7 August for journalists and other guests.

 

The Foreign Correspondents’ Club, founded in Chongqing, China, in 1943, is among Asia’s oldest clubs.
