AFP kicks off a two-week adventure
As the opening ceremony officially launches the Games, the AFP team on the ground is mobilised to offer comprehensive real-time coverage of this major global sporting event.
During the ceremony, 25 AFP correspondents including 8 photographers will be positioned inside the stadium to provide near real-time coverage of the highlights, in particular the traditional parade of the delegations. With them will be seven remotely controlled cameras and a robot to make sure nothing is missed.
Video reporters around the venue will capture the atmosphere and activity alongside the ceremony.
AFP has more than 100 people (journalists, photographers, videographers, technicians) deployed in Pyeongchang, Hong Kong, Paris and Seoul to ensure full multimedia coverage of the Winter Games.
