For the 3rd edition of the Paris Peace Forum, AFP Africa Director Boris Bachorz AFP will be moderating a panel on Africa’s response to Covid-19.
The panel, entitled ‘Bolstering Africa’s response to Covid-19: how can joint African and international efforts defeat the pandemic and its side effects?’, takes place on Wednesday, 11 November 2020. It will be steamed live from 3-4 PM CET. Speakers on the panel include Koen Doenz, Louise Mushikiwabo, Mo Ibrahim and Tidjane Thiam, a Special Envoy for the African Unions’s Covid-19 Taskforce.

A graduate of the Ecole Supérieure de journalism de Lille, Bachorz joined AFP in 1998 as a European Affairs correspondent in Brussels, and has since worked at the Agency’s Moscow, London, Paris and Nairobi bureaus.
Launched in 2018, the Paris Peace Forum assembles heads of State and international organizations with the civil society and the private sector in order to construct new forms of collective actions. The 2020 edition takes place from November 11-13, and is 100% digital in light of the Covid-19 pandemic. AFP is one of the forum’s ten media partners this year.
The complete program for the three-day event can be found on the Paris Peace Forum website.
