Follow AFP live video as it interviews the award winners at the climax of Cannes 2013
AFPTV will broadcast live interviews with the award winners at the climax of the 66th Cannes Film Festival, the world’s premiere film Festival, on Sunday, May 26.
A team of AFP video journalists will be there to capture the reactions from the stars, fresh from collecting their coveted awards.
The live broadcast, which will be transmitted on YouTube and Dailymotion and posted on afp.com, will run from 18h30 GMT to 19h30 GMT as the stars leave the awards ceremony in the legendary Riviera resort.
The broadcast will open with an AFPTV presenter introducing the best moments of the festival, including movie clips and highlights from press conferences and the red carpets, before switching to live interviews with the winners.
All the interviews will be in English.
A team of six from AFPTV will be on the spot, using three cameras to capture the action.
AFP carried its first live video broadcast in 2012. Since the start of 2013, which is set to be a year of significant growth for live HD coverage all over the world, AFP has already broadcast live feeds of events such as the election of Pope Francis, the funerals of Hugo Chavez and of Margaret Thatcher, the coronation of the King of the Netherlands and David Beckham’s first press conference for football club PSG.
