AFP shortlisted in two categories at AIB Media Awards 2021
Winner of "News Agency of the Year" in 2020, Agence France-Presse has once again been shortlisted in two categories at the AIB Media Awards 2021.
AFP has been nominated in both categories to which it applied at the Association for International Broadcasting's (AIB) annual awards.
Chosen as "News Agency of the Year" last year, AFP is again nominated in this category alongside three other agencies.
AFP is also selected for producing one of the best "single news report" videos of the year with the story “Coastal cities face their mortality on the climate ‘frontline’”.
AFP is the only news agency nominated in this category, where its story competes with reports from CNN, BBC World News, ITV News and Al Jazeera English.
The winners will be announced on November 12 and 15, 2021.
The Association for International Broadcasting established the awards in 1993 with the aim of "showcasing the best in television, radio, audio and digital journalism and production".
